A Mother’s Blessing (or blessing way) is a sacred ceremony that honours the rite of passage from maiden to mother. The event invites women to circle together to honour the mother to be; to fill her with love, strength, support and encouragement as she prepares to enter a life changing journey.

To ensure the design stayed true to the meaning of this special day, we worked closely with the circle’s host Sophie throughout the creative process.

Each styling element was guided by the significance of the special transition from pregnancy to birth. The focal point being a custom mandala, incorporating weaves and swirls to represent the journey, connection, umbilical cord and earth.
